Lexi lives with her mum and her mum’s fiance, John, and her half-sister Iris. She knows that she’s different–she has an anger inside her that she struggles to control. She’s certain that there’s something wrong with her–she wants to impress everyone, and make her mum proud of her. But impressing John is the real challenge. He has very clear ideas of what sort of a stepdaughter Lexi should be, and no matter what she tries, she always seems to come up short. Especially when compared to Iris, who is always treated as the ‘perfect’ daughter. John’s influence on her mum is also becoming more and more clear, as she has started sharing his view of Lexi. Lexi’s anger is going to lead her into trouble, and to question everything about herself, and who she really is.
