A moonlit forest. A sinister castle. A vengeful vampire. When Viviana is invited to become the aid of a rich countess, she is overjoyed. Working in the castle means a year’s education and lodging –it would change Vivi’s life. But when Vivi meets the countess – who is so frail and unwell that she sleeps through each day – and starts to notice increasingly strange behaviour around the castle at night, she begins to truly question whether she’s safe. And as Vivi begins to unravel the truth, she realises two things are certain: there’s a vampire in the castle and Vivi is trapped with it.
